Neurologist sought for the Medical Director, Clinical Research position at Invicro, a Division of Konica-Minolta, in New Haven, CT. Invicro is a highly-regarded, international Medical Research and Imaging Company with major programs in clinical and pre-clinical areas. The Clinic at Invicro-New Haven carries out world-renown research in Parkinson Disease, Alzheimer Disease, and other disorders. This group seeks a physician to join the ongoing clinical research program. Mandatory duties include new and return research participant evaluations, trial-related procedures and ratings, and research-specific training and guidelines, etc. Additional opportunities, with extent based on experience and interest, in trial development and management, imaging techniques, community physician outreach, participation in national and international meetings, scientific publications, and multidisciplinary research projects. 

 

The Invicro Clinic is a 100% outpatient research-dedicated facility with no fees or insurance required or accepted from participants or their insurance. The staff comprises physicians, PAs, RNs, technicians, and coordinators. No clinical call or inpatient hospital service. Affiliation with the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders available. Physicians supported in their applications for adjunct positions at Yale University.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participate as an investigator or sub-investigator for single-site and multi-site clinical trials
  • Work with team of MDs, PAs, Research Nurses, and Study Coordinators
  • Work closely with imaging team of Nuclear Medicine Technicians, Physicians, Radiation Safety Officers, etc.
  • Understand and follow relevant research ethical and safety guidelines
  • See and evaluate new referrals and existing research participants
  • Perform structured evaluations and procedures in clinical trials, including examinations, interviews, rating scales, CSF collection, safety checks, etc.
  • Review and evaluate safety data
  • Participate in the preparation and review of study protocols and other materials
  • Maintain appropriate medical licensure and training
  • Interact with Neurologists and other physicians and Community Patient outreach groups
  • Participate in forums, presentations, and publications

 

Qualifications: 

  • Required:
    • US MD degree with specialty training and board certification/eligibility in Neurology, and sub-specialty training in Movement Disorders preferred
    • At least five years’ experience with clinical research/trials.
    • Eligibility to serve as Principal Investigator for Clinical Trials in US
