Invicro’s mission is to develop smarter drug discovery programs and we are currently seeking an energetic IT Support Specialist to be part of our highly motivated and skilled team in pursuit of this mission. This individual will be a part of the IT team, providing support to all of Invicro’s Boston area employees.

This individual should enjoy challenging and analytical work and be motivated by the idea that together we can accomplish great things and make a positive contribution to society through the company’s mission. The role has the opportunity to grow skills in IT infrastructure, hardware and software, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first level Help Desk support to end users on a variety of issues and identify, research and resolve technical problems. May monitor helpdesk line and ticket system, log service requests, and handle or distribute service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and identify sources of hardware/software issues; take corrective action.
  • Repair computer systems, peripherals, printers, and other related IT devices.
  • Maintain and control asset and inventory listings.
  • Interact with personnel productively and positively. Facilitate healthy communication and departmental relationships.
  • Maintain and control technology-related documentation, technical materials, and publications.
  • Manage software registrations, warranty and support agreement information.
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Perform administrative and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience supporting business class hardware and software.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, written and verbal; able to communicate technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and productivity software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic understanding of Virtualization technologies.
  • Multi-tasking capabilities; negotiates conflicts; troubleshoots problems
  • Attentive to details; meets deadlines; deals with difficult situations while maintaining composure.
  • Sense of urgency; flexible and adaptable; works well under pressure.
