Position Overview:

Work as part of APS team to provide project management support to effectively schedule projects, assign to team members and provide up to date status reports using Invicro software tools to deliver projects on-time to Invicro customers. Participate in reconciling financial aspects of projects including costing, inventory and purchasing. Develop efficient and effective workflows to enable timely delivery of highly quality results to our customers.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in discussions with customers to establish scope of work / timeline / cost for proposed projects.
  • Manage daily team activities and scheduling. Monitors work to ensure timely completion.
  • Complete and update documentation to meet customer expectations.
  • Prepare and participate in presentation of project status updates to management team and sponsor(s).
  • Utilize project management software to manage status and scheduling of projects. Take point on working with team members to update the status as work is completed to ensure the dashboard as always up to date.
  • Inventory management to control ordering and on-going inventory of lab and project specific supplies to facilitate final costing, general accounting, purchasing.
  • Project management administration. Day-to day project progress and status via ‘evergreen’ dashboard.
  • Work with technical team to interpret customer statements of work and prepare project schedules
  • Point of communication between business development and laboratory functions to ensure consistent and accurate central management of all project schedule updates.
  • Interface with Invicro software tools (including LIMS) to enter new project details and access data for economic analyses
  • Participate in client calls to ensure accurate communication to APS team
  • Work with laboratory, Quality and Regulatory staff to ensure proper documentation of all regulated or accredited projects.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of tasks involved in managing clinical and research projects to enable efficient and compliant delivery of results.
  • Ability to assign relevant timelines to regulated clinical procedures and RUO based projects
  • An understanding of standards and requirements of a CAP/CLIA accredited lab and how that affects project delivery.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication at all levels.
  • Ability to interact effectively across cross-functional groups.
  • Proactively seeks to identify resource performance issues and participates in development of
  • Knowledge of business methods including productivity/workload analysis and scheduling.
  • Skill in appropriate collection/analysis/presentation of staffing, productivity, and cost data on a routine and special-project basis.
  • Awareness of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Proficiency utilizing typical software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze workload requirements and schedule personnel appropriately.
  • Possess effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented.

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Minimum BS in a Biological or Life Science.
  • 2+ years of related industry experience in pharma, hospital or CRO

Preferred candidates will have a recognized qualification in Project Management. Experience in LEAN thinking and how it can be applied to a project management setting would be an asset. A demonstrated problem solver who creatively and knowledgeably performs in a high throughput research and clinical setting is also preferred.
